Chris Little taught cardiology, internal and respiratory medicine at the University of Glasgow for a decade. He joined the staff of the Barton Veterinary Hospital in July 1999. He has published numerous papers in scientific journals and has spoken widely at clinical and scientific meetings both in the UK and abroad. He is an RCVS recognised Specialist in Cardiology.Both Rob and Chris are advisors to the RCVS for the Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology. Chris is also an advisor for the Certificate of Veterinary Internal Medicine |
Rob has been actively involved in small animal internal medicine and cardiology referral a Canterbury for 25 years. During that period he has seen a steady increase in the number of cases. |

With a wide range of knowledge and experience, they are on hand to deal with any inquiries and can give advice on services available, CVS healthy pet club, Hills’ pet food, Pet plan insurance and much more.

Julii Elliott DipAVN (Surg), RVN, ABIPDT: Julii is our head nurse. She qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1987 and has been at the practice since early 2007. She holds the diploma in advanced surgical nursing and is also one of our veterinary nursing NVQ assessors. Julli has a special interest in canine behaviour and training, and she runs our puppy socialisation classes. Felicity Burge RVN, A1: Felicity is the longest standing member of the nursing team, having joined the practice in 1998, the same year that she qualified. She gained her veterinary nursing NVQ assessor qualification in 2003 and runs our pet weight loss clinics. She is also an assessor for the PAT dog charity. Sarah Smith RVN: Sarah started at the practice in mid 2003 and went on to gain her VN qualification later that year. She has recently returned to work after maternity leave and has a special interest in surgery. Kate Samson RVN,A1: Kate qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2001 and, after gaining experience in several different practices, came to this practice in 2005. She gained her veterinary nursing NVQ assessor award in 2007 and in currently studying for her certificate in small animal nutrition. Kate also runs our pet weight loss clinics.

Nicci Causer RVN: Nicci qualified as a veterinary nurse in January 2007 and joined the practice later the same year. She is a diabetes advisor and runs our senior pet health clinics. Pam Beeching: Pam is a level 2 student veterinary nurse. She has been at the practice since 2003 and will be taking her veterinary nursing exams in December. She currently supervises our radioactive iodine therapy unit. Jenny Gooderham: Jenny has been at the practice since August 2005. She is a level 3 student veterinary nurse and will be taking her final exams in December. She has a special interest in exotic breeds. Leanne Rosier: Leanne started at the practice in 2006 and is a level 3 student veterinary nurse. She hopes to take her final exams next summer. She currently supervises our laboratory department. Nicola Tomlinson: Nic started at the practice in September 2007 and is a veterinary nurse assistant. Felicity Parry: Felicity started at the practice in 2005 as our Saturday helper. She now works as a receptionist/nurse assistant. |
